This policy describes how Breakaway AI ("Breakaway", "we") handles personal data on our website and in the WhatsApp assistants we operate. By using these services, you agree to this policy.
Who we are

Scope
This policy covers the breakaway.work website (or the domain where this page is published), our contact form, and our WhatsApp Business / WhatsApp Cloud API channels, including the assistant that answers queries (for example, weather) and conversations our team may view or continue in the WhatsApp Business app.
Data we process
Website and form: name, company (optional), WhatsApp, and the message you send us. WhatsApp: phone number, message content (text and, if sent, files or media), technical IDs Meta sends with the webhook (such as message IDs), and, if you ask for weather, the city you name. We do not ask for passwords, payment cards, or government IDs for these services.
Why we use it
To respond to your commercial inquiry, operate the chat, generate an automatic reply, let Breakaway staff read and continue the conversation, and keep the service running. The bases are providing the service you request by contacting us, and our legitimate interest in operating sales and support.
WhatsApp and Meta
Messages travel on WhatsApp. Meta processes them under their own terms. We receive them via the WhatsApp Cloud API. See WhatsApp's privacy policy (whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy) and Meta's (facebook.com/privacy/policy).
Artificial intelligence
Automatic replies may be generated by a language model through our infrastructure (for example Vercel AI Gateway). Message text is sent to that model to produce an answer. We do not sell chats or use them to train public models beyond what those providers state in their own policies.
Who we share with
We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party ads. We share it only with Meta/WhatsApp (the channel), hosting, email, and AI providers needed to run the service, and Breakaway staff who handle the inbox. The contact form is processed with our email provider (Resend) to notify us and, where applicable, record you as a lead.
Retention
We keep data as long as needed to handle the conversation or commercial request and for a reasonable support or audit period, unless the law requires longer. We then delete or anonymize it.
Your rights and deletion
You may request access or deletion by emailing [email protected] and including your email or WhatsApp number. We will delete what we store about that chat or lead, except what we must keep by law. Deleting the thread on your phone does not automatically delete our server copy. This page also serves as user data deletion instructions for Meta App Review.
Children
These services are not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country).
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version.
